Workshops Begin to Assist Russian River Watershed Growers who Frost Protect with Water

The Sonoma County Winegrape Commission and the Sonoma County Agricultural Commissioner's office will be hosting weekly meetings to assist growers with the mandatory registration for all Russian River Watershed growers who frost protect with water. Staff from the Ag Commissioner's office will be on-hand to help fill out the registration paperwork and answer questions.

Each vineyard requires a separate registration accompanied by a $64 fee. The County-imposed deadline to register is June 1. Penalties will be assessed after this deadline.

All workshops will begin at 7:30am at the Ag Commissioner's office at 133 Aviation Blvd., Suite 110, Santa Rosa. The dates for the workshops are: March 23, April 7, April 20, April 29, May 5, May 13, May 19, and May 24.

Information will also be available at the Integrated Pest Management Appellation meetings on April 12, 13 & 14 and May 10, 11 & 12.
