RSVP Now! May 17, Smart Marketer Seminar on The Legal Ramifications of Selling Grapes
The Sonoma County Winegrape Commission and California Association of Winegrape Growers (CAWG) are sponsoring a Smart Marketer Seminar on Thursday, May 17, from 4:00-6:00pm at the Hilton Hotel in Santa Rosa.
Attorney Dale Stern is the presenter for Contracts, Liens and the Legal Ramifications of Selling Grapes. In addition, there will be short presentations by CAWG President John Aguirre on legislative updates and Matt O'Connor of O'Connor Environmental Inc. on the VESCO Tree Removal Ordinance.
Attorney Stern's presentation will include: the legalities and reality of short-selling contracted grapes to a higher paying buyer; ramifications of diverting grapes under contract; breaking contracts, how binding is your contract and what is your contract worth; liens and what growers need to know about them.
