Start collecting recyclable vineyard materials for this December 7, pilot program and adjunct to the Plastic Pesticide Container Recycling Day on November 16.

Accepted at no charge will be: drip hose, drip tape, steel posts, PVC and metal irrigation pipe, and rolled and tied bird netting. The condition of the items must be fairly clean and free of plant materials. These items will be unloaded at one location point.

Also accepted will be pressure-treated posts and stakes. There is a fee of $150 per ton (pro-rated) for the pressure treated materials. This wood will be off-loaded separately from the other vineyard materials.

Co-sponsored by the Sonoma County Winegrape Commission, Industrial Carting and the Ag Commissioner's office, this recycling event is at Industrial Carting located at 3911 Santa Rosa Avenue, Santa Rosa.
